Andrew enlisted in the 24th. Wis. Infantry when the regt. was formed in Milwaukee Wis. in August 1862. He participated in all of it's campains untill he was discharged for a disability in March 1863.
He re_enlisted in the 51st. Regt. abt. Feb. 1865 as first Corporal . Mustard out with unit in Aug. 1865.
b. 1840 d. March 1884 buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, Wausau

Foskett Maynard Putney - Private |
Foskett Maynard Putney enlisted in the 51st Wisconsin Infantry, Co. D on April 3, 1865 at age seventeen. He mustered out on August 29, 1865 and filed for pension benefits on July 21, 1869. Foskett married Ann Buss and had four children. He later moved from Wisconsin to Oregon where he died October 20, 1926. He was a member of the Chester A. Arthur GAR Post No. 47.

In a book titled:
'History of the Township and Vilage of Mazomanie',
written by William Kittle and published by the State Journal Printing Company, Madison, Wisconsin; Stephen Henry Woolworth is shown as having enlisted during the Civil War on or near the 15th of April,1861 and placed into the 40th regiment in Company 'K'.
A publication (book) labled 'Wisconsin Volunteers' 'War of the Rebellion' 1861--1865, arranged alphabetically, identifies Stephen H. Woolworth as a sargent in company 'I', 51st Infantry. Shown on page 1122, published by the state, at Madison, Wisconsin, Democratic Printing Company, 1914.
This may be in error however as it does not agree with the data on his tomb-stone at his grave in LeMars, Iowa.
