James was killed on the final day of the Battle of Chancellorsville.He was the youngest son of Jonathan Phillips and Elizabeth Job.He was buried in Elkton,Va.

Wounded at Chancellorsville and then took part in the battle of Gettysburg, Captured at Culps Hill and sent to Fort Delaware for until April 17th 1865

John Peter was born 9/20/1827, died 1910. He enlisted 2/25/1863 at Skinkers Neck as Private, Co.I,10th Va Infantry, transfered to Co. B 10/31/1864. POW 2/6/1865 Petersburg Pt. Lookout, MD. Released under oath of allegiance 6/19/1865.

Probably was killed at the Battle of Seven Pines although the official commencemnt is shown to be on June 25th - July 1, 1862. Location Henrico County, Virginia. Seeing as he was a Cavalryman, he might have engaged Federal forces while scouting the area prior to the battle. The Seven Days Battles was a series of six major battles over the seven days from June 25 to July 1, 1862, near Richmond, Virginia.

He was captured on July 2, 1863 during the Battle of Gettysburg and was a POW for the remainder of the war. After the war he worked as a carpenter for the railroad. He died in 1888 of pneumonia. Buried at Methodist Cemetery in Shenandoah, VA.

James joined on 17 June 1861 at Conrads Store, Rockingham County, Virginia. He was wounded severely in the hand at the Battle of Gettysburg on 3 July 1863. He was taken prisoner on 12 May 1864 near Spottsylvania and taken to Point Lookout, Maryland. He was transferred to Elmira, New York and was released in a prisoner exchange on 29 October 1864.

William joined with his brother James at Conrads Store on 15 June 1861. He was wounded in the leg at the Battle of Payne's Farm 27 November 1863. He was taken prisoner at Farmville 6 April 1865 and taken to Point Lookout, Maryland. He was released on 14 June 1865 after taking the Oath of Allegiance.

Wounded in action 11/27/1863 at Paynes Farm, Mine Run. Died of wounds in Richmond, virginia 12/7/1863 Buried in long family cemetery Belvoir, Rockingham, Virginia. 4th great Uncle

brother to Thomas L. long of the 10th and Layton Nicholas Long of the 15th Regiment Infantry. Enlisted april 25, 1862. served until 1864 when he was captured. 4th Great Uncle

Joseph Bell was a drummer and sounded reveille at the courthouse to gather his comrades of Company K, the 'Page Volunteers' to march off towards Winchester. I believe he served in the 97th Virginia Militia later in the war.

He married Sarah Jane Cockrill and had 16 children. Lived to be 80. I'm his great-great granddaughter, Linda Fager.
