John P (?) Byrd - Private |
I know Alonzo Columbus Byrd, James Byrd, John Byrd, Judson Peterson Byrd, William Byrd, joined the Confederates in Rusk or Bright Star,in Oct. 1962. Alonzo and Judson are buried at Forest Academy in Sulphur Springs, and James died at Stones River. Looking for William and John. I think William was captured, took the oath, was released, and returned to fight again. Have no record of John after he joined. Appreciate any info. They are listed in June Tuck's book 'Shadows of Hopkins County'. Thank you
