Served in 8th Reg't, East TN.,Inf. Died of typhoid fever at Camp Nelson, KY. on 8/28/1863 and buried there. Also on Co. G. rolls. Father of Louisa McGinnis and father-in-law of Zachary T. McIntire who was in 2nd NCMI. Absalom was from Hawkins Co.,TN.

Wade Green/e was born in Cocke Co., Tenn and enlisted in Co. C, 8th Tenn. U.S. along with four of his brothers. Had his little finger shot off at the Battle of Resacca. Received a pension. Had a veteran's stone placed for him where he is buried at Clay Creek Baptist Church in Bybee, near Newport, Tenn.

Hezekiah Moore, my g-g-grandfather, was born in Cocke County, TN on 15 January 1838. He and a brother, Dempsey Moore Jr., served under Cpt. Thomas Bible in Company C. Per pension papers, Hezekiah Moore became ill on a road march near Cincinnati and died on 3 May 1863. He is buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH.

George Washington Pridemore born 16 Sept 1842,Kyles Ford, TN,joined Company C of 8th TN Volunteer Infantry at Camp Dick Robinson, KY on 1 Dec 1862. Company C, commanded by Captain Thomas Bible, saw action in Sherman's forces in north Georgia and was shot through the shoulder at Utoy Creek west of Atlanta on 6 Aug 1864. He survived his wound and was discharged from the service on 13 June 1865.

Born 1839 Hawkins County, Tennessee Died 1893. Enlisted July 25, 1863 in Hawkins County Tn. Mustered out June 1865.
