Sion Parish - Private   
After capture at Trenton with the 7th Tenn Cav. Union ,Sion was paroled from camp chase and reenlisted in the 2nd Tenn Mounted Inf. He mustered out at Nashville Tnn. Two other brothers, Granville, 27th Tn.Inf CSA, Mark, 7th Tn.Cav. Un,and his Uncle,Samuel,7th TN Cav Un.Co.D. All survived the war

William A. Wesson was born in Lauderdale County, Alabama Dec 21, 1831 son of Claiborne Wesson and Nancy Temple Wesson. William married Sarah Jane Thompson. It was reported Dec. 18th 1862 that he had died at Waynesboro Tn. His brother John R. Wesson who had served in the 6th Tennessee Cavalry U.S.A. after returning from the war married Williams widow. All three are buried in Simmons Cemetery Lauderdale county Alabama.

Alfred Sampson Cotham(1841-1922)from Perry,TN. He entered as a private and left the unit as a 2nd Lt.
After leaving the unit, he made his escape to safety with his wife and children on the USS Peosta. His first wife died, he married again and homesteaded in Ripley County, MO where he lived out his days.
He is my great-great-great grandfather.
