Nathan's name was incorrectly recorded as 'Borkey' on his service record. He was from Sommerset County, PA near Stanton's Mill. He turned 19 years-old 27 days after mustering in at Camp Curtin. He emmigrated to Elkhart County, IN after the war where he farmed, married twice and raised 8 children. He lived to be 93 years old, passing away in 1935. His memorial can be found on the Find-a-Grave website at http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSmid=46919883&GRid=20275961.
