my grandfather also fought under the name George Brown. He took ill, was discharged and signed up again under the name William Anderson. He was from London Ontario Canada. Am told he enlisted at age 16 in 1863, fought at Cold Harbor and Petersburg where he got shot in leg and had leg amputated
