Phillip Laible - Private

Phillip Laible was my gggrandfather. He was KIA at Cross Keys Va on June 8th,1862 He had lived in Philadelphia since 1854 after emigrating from Baden. I believe he is buried in a mass grave in Staunton Va, although I am not positive. Any info on Phillip would be appreciated.

Born on 3 Jan 1837 in Minden, Germany, August immigrated to the United States and settled in Pittsburgh's South Side/Birmingham area prior to the Civil War. He joined the 74th in September of 1861 and served three years. He was at 2nd Bull Run, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg and with the regiment down in the Charleston SC Campaign.
