John D. Johnson - Private

Pension File of Veterans: John D. Johnson, PA Cavalry Regiment 18, Company C. I believe the 'D' stands for Drake. Family history states he was a prisoner at Libby Prison. I have a stained handkerchief of his, and his granddaughter noted that 'John Johnson, Jacktown, PA: He fought in Civil War, was in Libby Prison.' Died in 1885.
