Enlisted 8/13/1862. Mustered in 9/12/1862 at Camp Cleveland, Ohio for three years. Promoted to Corporal on 5/1/1864 and to Sergeant on 8/1/1864. Mustered out with regiment on 6/9/1865 in Nashville, TN. Died 10/3/1922 and is buried in Westlake, Ohio.

Thomas C. Ordway - Corporal
|
Thomas was born 2-22-1836 in Pennsylvania and passed away on 1-7-1911 and is buried at the National Cemetery in Dayton,Ohio. He joined the 124th O.V.I.on 9-8-1863 and was discharged on 7-5-1865. After the war he purchased a farm south of North Creek, Ohio and in his later years went to the soldiers home in Dayton, Ohio. He was the husband of Sarah Ann Hess 10-6-1840 to 1-19-1874 after her passing,he married Sarah Mae Hill 5-6-1844 to 2-11-1926.

Mustered in as Srgt (Co.A) Aug.4, 1862. Adjutant to Lt.Col.Pickands May 23,1863 to Feb.26,1865. Mustered out as 1st Lt.(Co.B) June 9,1865. He is my maternal grandfather born in 1844. My grandmother was his 3rd wife (he outlived the first two) and was 70 when my mother (his 2nd daughter) was born. He is survived by 1 daughter (97), 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren that I know of. He had a son with his first wife at least 140 years ago
