Grandfather....He was captured in The Second Battle of Winchester in June, 1863 and taken to Libby Prison in Richmond, Va. where he and 108 other prisoners dug a secret tunnel and escaped in February, 1864....I wrote a book about my grandfather in 2002 with his military history, family genealogy and his true story of his escape from Libby Prison.....
