Daily public Ledger., Maysville, KY, December 20, 1906, page 4 'Bishop Charles C. McCabe of the Methodist Episcopal Church died in the New York Hospital yesterday. Born at Athens Ohio, in 1836; entered the Ohio Conference in 1862; was Chaplain of the One Hundred and Twenty-second Ohio during the War, following which he became Pastor of a Church at Portsmouth. In 1896 he was made Bishop and took up his home at Germantown, Philadelphia.'

Ansley was held captive at Andersonville Prison in Georgia.
