Isaac Harrison Carman - Corporal
My Great-Grandfather Carman was awarded medal of honor for saving the Ohio 48th standard and for saving his comrades from a mortor shell that fell into the Yankee entrenchment at Vicksburg - After the war he settled with wife in Washington Court House Ohio was a well respected farmer and inventor. I'm so proud of his accomplishments. - KC

Benton Badgley - Corporal
1st Enlistment 1861, Corporal, Company K, 48th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Wounded at Battle of Shiloh and Discharged September, 1862.

2nd Enlistment 1864, Private, Company G, 175th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Was killed when the Steamship SULTANA exploded on the Mississippi River in 1865. The SULTANA was overloaded with soldiers returning home who had just been released from Rebel prisons in a prisoner exchange. Benton Badgley was prisoner at Andersonville. Captured November 25, 1864
