He was promoted to Full Corporal on December 28, 1864 and was mustered out on July 13, 1865.

Joseph R. Seaman - 1st Lieutenant
|
Joseph R. Seaman enlisted in the 22nd New York Infantry, Co., I, on May 9, 1861 at Fort Edward, New York. He resigned from this regiment on 22 February 1862. Joseph then enlisted in the 118th Regiment, Co., A as a 1st Lieutenant. He was promoted to Captain and then to Brevet Major. Joseph was seriously wounded during the Battle of Fair Oaks in 1865. Joseph died on May 6, 1889 in Glens Falls, New York.
