Virgil R. Lamson - Private
Virgil was wounded at Antietam near the West Woods on September 17, 1862. He was transferred from a field hospital to the hospital in Frederick, MD. He died there on September 20, 1862, and was buried in the hospital cemetery. Years later his remains were removed to the Antietam National Battlefield Cemetery, grave number 2404.

I have seven letters he wrote home, in which he describes his army experience.

Benonni Lachance is my great, great grand uncle. He faught in many of the major eastern battles including, Gettysburg, Antietam, Fredricksburg & Petersburg. I have had the honor of standing where the Michigan 7th fought hand to hand at Gettysburg to repel Picket's breach of the Union line on Cemetary Ridge near the Angle.

Per Family Hx, Charles A was in the 146th NY Infantry Comp B
He was with this Company till the close of war and was mustered out in Washington, DC (where the marched to)on 16 July 1865.
He Enlisted in Rome, New York on 30 August 1864.
This was his 2nd tour of duty within the Civil War, He was with the 7th Michigan Infantry 2 years prior, where he was honorably discharged after an injury. It is said he was Injured at the Battle of Fair Oaks, but I haven't found this battle to date.

Teall, Noah Webster, Monroe Co, Michigan enlisted in Company K, 7th
Michigan Infantry August 13, 1861 at Vienna, Michigan for 3 years service
at the age of 18. He took the muster oath on August 22, 1861. He is
recorded as having died of disease at Rollin's Mills, on the James River
on July 10, 1862
