After he got back to Henry Co., TN, he married again to Mary Ann Caldwell who had lost her first husband and 3 brothers in the CSA. Alex and Mary Ann had 9 children before he died in 1900 in Henry Co., TN. Buried Oak Hill Union Cemetery.
