Thomas was Captain of Company D of the 10th Regiment Kentucky Calvary of Johnsons. He enlisted July 20, 1862. He was a prison of war from being captured at Rutland, OH on July 20, 1863. I believe he was a prisoner at the Ohio Penitentiary and Point Lookout. He was released June 12, 1865.

N.B. Dupuy was originally from Hancock County, Kentucky (Utility community). Enlisted in the Kentucky CSA Army in Daviess County on Sept. 5, 1862. Served under the command of Captain Henry Clay Meriwether. Died in April 1863 near the Kentucky line near Celina, Tennessee. Buried in an unmarked grave. The farmer sent NB Dupuy's wedding ring back to his wife (Eusebia Ellis Dupuy) in Hancock County.

He served with Adam R.Johnson (10th)and HC Merriweather (I believe he was listed as F. Hayden with the 4th KY Mounted INF). He has a govt grave marker in Rockport IN. My 3rd Great Grandfather: brother of Doctor Willis W. Johnson. Served in William J. Field’s Company of Kentucky Partisan Rangers (1862-63). Was captured during a raid near Grayson, KY, on 5/11/1863. Was sent to several prisons, the last one being Point Lookout, MD. He was released on taking the Oath on 1/10/1864.
