I have this information for William Henry Harrison Scott in regards to his service in the Civil War in the 36th Iowa Infantry, Company B. He enlisted on August 7, 1862 and was mustered on September 3, of that same year. He was taken prisoner at Mark''s Mills Arkansas on April 25th of 1864, and mustered out at Duvall''s Bluff Arkansas in 1865. I believe he spent his time as a prisoner in Camp Ford?? Texas and escaped there. I am not positive on that point. He was a doctor and spent the the rest of his life with his family in Indian territory Oklahoma. He has been included in a local history book of Cushing Oklahoma.
I am researching as much as I can to learn about the activities of this Company and would love to read any letters or diaries available.
