Isaac Large was the son of Ebenezer Large and Rachel Nichols. He enlisted on 6-20-1862, on 9-20-1862 he was promoted to fife major. Isaac married Hannah Worseldine c.1868 Mitchell Co., Iowa, they had one son John Ebeneezer b. 7-12-1869 in Iowa. Isaac died 11-20-1916 im Matagorda Co., TX.

Son of Alexander & Diana Bethard, Union County, Ohio. Married Caroline Rice in Clayton County, Iowa, 01/27/1859. Enlisted 08/11/1862; mustered in Company 08/18/1862, Regiment 09/09/1862; mustered out 07/15/1862 Baton Rouge, LA. Died 08/08/1912, Delta, IA; buried Garrett Cemetery. Daughters - Nellie Charity (b 06/09/1862), Sarah Gertrude (b 05/10/1869). I am not a descendant, but have researched Jim and the regiment for 20 years, know its activities every day of the war, and have information on hundreds of others. Feel free to contact me.

Emigrated from Wurtemburg, Germany and received U.S.Citizenship as Lewis Fisher on Nov. 6, 1860. Mustered in as a Private on August 20, 1862 at Dubuque; promoted to 2nd Sergeant on May 1, 1863; wounded in leg May 17, 1863 at Black River Bridge, Mississippi; Promoted to 1st Sergeant May 1, 1864; Commissioned 1st Lieutenant Feb. 6, 1865; mustered March 1, 1865; mustered out July 15, 1865 at Baton Rouge, Lousiana. Died at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaga, Nebraska, Dec. 6, 1888. Left two sons: Henry and Charles and two daughters: Annie and Emma.

this was my great great grandfather from north buena vista, ia
clayton county. he mustered in at dubuque, ia on sept 9, 1862
he was engaged in battles at port gibson, champion hill and
black river bridge. muster records show that he was shot in
the side with a musket ball at black river bridge on
may 17, 1863 and died of this wound on may 19, 1863.
