My 3rd Great Uncle, John mustered in to Co. A on Aug. 22, 1862 and mustered out in Mobile, Alabama on July 8, 1865. I have a few letters he had written home to his family during the War describing some action. He also had a brother, James, that served in the 75th Indiana.

Rufus is a brother to my gr gr grandfather, James Fisk. They were born in New York. Their other brother Adoniram Fisk died in the Civil War also. James was with the 1st USS sharpshooters. Their parents were William and Abigail(Razey) Fisk. Another brother Joshua Fisk lived in Union,Illinois. Their sister was Mary Alzina who lived in New York.
