Benjamin was born in Morgan County, Ohio in 1832 and moved to Iowa in 1863, where he was quickly drafted. After the war he lived in DeWitt, Clinton Co., Iowa, Boone Co., Iowa and Sac Co. Iowa. He died 14 Feb 1913 and is buried in Odebolt, Iowa.

Mustered out 03, February 1866 in Little Rock AR.

Died 29 Oct 1864 at Camp Ford Confederate Prison Camp, Tyler, Texas.

He was captured 9 April 1864 in the Battle of Pleasant Hill, Louisiana and marched to Camp Ford,Texas where he was a prisoner until paroled 27 May 1865 at Red River Landing, Louisiana. Died 13 October 1912, Old Soldiers Home, Quincy, Illinois.

William Robinson, was born on October 12, 1828 in Kentucky, and died on April 7, 1924 in Wahkon, Mille Lacs County, Minnesota. He is buried at Foster Cemetery, Onamia, Mille Lacs County, Minnesota. His service with CO H 14 IOWA INF is inscribed on his tombstone.

William Robinson, is known to have been residing in Jones County, Iowa when he enlisted for service in the Civil War. He enlisted on January 4, 1862, and served as a Private in Company H 14th Iowa Volunteers. He was in the Battles of Fort Henry, Fort Donelson, and the Battle of Shiloh. He then became ill and was discharged on July 20, 1862, in Corinth, Mississippi.
