Col.Danl Anderson and captain Thomas Jones were his superiors.He served as comander of the Mc Farland post 20 dept. of Iowa after the war.George was permoted to corporal 3 16 63 to Sgt.11 63 and to second Lt. in April 1865 all for brave and meritorious service.
