Company D
Edward M. Murray - Private
He enlisted at Shelbyville, Indiana on February 9th, 1865 and was discharged on September 14, 1865 at Indianapolis. He spent most of his enlistment very ill and nearly died on the way back home to Hendricks Township, in Shelby County. He was born in Hart County, KY on November 3rd, 1836 and died on September 23, 1902 at Jonesburg, Montgomery County, Missouri. He was 5' 11', had red hair, and hazel eyes. I've been searching for his parents for 23 years and no luck yet. There were several Murray's in the Hart Co., KY area during the timeframe of his birth, but haven't been able to connect anybody to him. If anyone has any information at all, please email me. Thanks for your consideration, John Forister
