This is my gg grandfather. He was born in Martinsburg, Knox Co., Ohio and moved with his family to Indiana prior to the Civil War. He served in Company C from 1862 for the duration of the war. He later homesteaded in Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas. He died at Kanona, Decatur Co., Kansas in his 80s. I have a fairly detailed obituary about him. I would like to hear from the descendants of his comrades in Company C.
