This is my great-great grandfather whose family now spells Treese as Treece since late 1800s. He eventually was transferred to the 8th IL infantry near the end of the war. Mustered in the 11th at Cairo,IL November 17,1863.His father,Isaac Sr. and older brother Isaac Jr. joined 109th IL infantry on august 14th 1862 at Camp Anna in Anna, IL.

Robert Donohoo was the correct spelling. Listed in records as 'DONAHUE' Injured at Vicksburg and discharged. Raised in Tenn. and went north to fight against slavery even though his father and mother were slave owners. Fought against his cousins and brother in law at Battle of Shilo.

My Gggrandfather joined the Union forces to fight against slavery as his father requested. He is listed in the rolls as both DONAHUE and DONAHEW .He was from Coffee Landing, HARDIN, TN. and fought against his family members in his own backyard.
After be mustered out he was threatened by his own family and left for the west settling in Snowflake,AZ and finally homesteading inthe Bridger Valley of Wyoming. He was layed to rest there.
