Manasseh B. McGinty - 2nd Lieutenant
Manasseh entered Phillip Legion as a Private and records show he
survived the war and left as a 2nd. Lt. I know when Gen. Sherman came through Atlanta he was able to leave his unit and go home to evacuate his family. This was told to my Grandmother by
Grace Lamar McGinty, Manasseh's little sister who was about
8 year old. They all escaped to Marietta on a rail flat-car.
I would like to learn the battles Company L of Phillip Legion fought and if he was ever wounded.
