William was 19 years old when he joined Capt.Thomas' Co. 7th Regiment Florida Infantry. Joined at Gainsville, Florida on 19 March 1862. He was captured near Atlanta,Georgia in April 1864. Sent to military prison at Louisville,Ky. and on to Camp Chase, Ohio. He survived the war. He died 17 Sept. 1934 and is buried at New Zion Cemetery, Lake Butler, Union County Florida. He was the husband of my 3 cousin 4x removed Emily M Thomas b. 30 Sept.1847

Roland was born in Georgia and moved to Bradford Co. Fl. He enlisted and was elected Captain at age 33 on 8 March 1862 of Co. A Capt. Thomas' Co. 7th Regiment Fl. Infantry. Roland resigned due to ill health on 2 August 1862. He regained his health and re-enlisted and served as a 3rd Corporal in Co F 2nd Florida Cavalry. He was on Picket duty for several months in 1863. His unit was surrendered and paroled on 17 May 1865 at Baldwin Florida.

Born and lived in S. Carolina and enlisted April 2, 1862 at Gainesville, Fl. Took part in the campaihns of Atlanta and Chickamauga to Nashville. Slightly wounded in Atlanta and was captured in Nashville on December 16, 1864. Served time on Johnson's Island, Ohio prison camp.He was released on oath on June 16, 1865 and returned to S. Carolina. He was 5'8', blue eyes, dark skin and hair.

Charles Flournoy Weeks was my great-great grandfather. He was a veteran of the Seminole Wars (I have a copy of a letter detailing this and his confederate service), and is buried in Telfair County, GA. He was captured in the Civil War and was interned at Camp Wheeler, Ohio (a cousin of mine has the original release papers). He married Emily Seigler in Telfair County, and they had Susie Weeks, my great grandmother.

Jarrett was born 7 May 1839 at Four Mile, Barnsdale County, South Carolina. I do not know when he arrived in Florida. He enlisted 14 April 1862 at Camp Lee Fla. in Capt. Moseley's Co. F. Fla Inf. he is 22 years old. This Co. became Co. I. 7th Fla. Infantry. His first battle was at Chickamauga, He was captured at Missionary Ridge in the fight around Chattanooga on 25 Nov 1863. Sent to the POW prison at Lewisville, Ky. and on to Rock Island Illinois. He remained there until 20 June 1865 and released after swallowing the yellow dog. He was the father-in-law of my 4th cousin 3 x removed. Died 29 Sept. 1919 in Citra, Marion County, Fla. and buried at Trinity - Oakland Cem. Orange Lake, Marion Co. Fla.

James was born in Columbia Co. Florida on 6 Dec 1836. By 1850 he and family are living in Itchpossassa, Hillsllboro Co. Fla. [Later to be called Tampa] He enlists 24 Oct 1861 at Shertackacola, Fla. in Capt Lesley's or Capt. Hunters Co. He has 24 cards in his archival file, unfortunately they have faded to the point they cannot be read. He served the entire war and was involved in the Atlanta and Carolina Campaigns. He died 16 Feb 1894 in Eagle Lake, Polk Co. Fla. and buried in the Clover Cem. in that place.
