John served thru the war. He is sick in the hospital for several months while stationed in Tenn. He is a Hospital guard on 28 Feb. 1863. His last card is on 12 March 1863 when he was paid $44.00. He died on 21 August 1922, in Daytona Beach, Volusia Co. Florida
