Marvin Cook was born about 1832 in Connecticut and died January 2nd, 1869 in Middletown, Connecticut. He was the son of Sylvester Cook and Marietta (Hall) Cook. He enlisted on April 8th, 1862 and mustered out January 28th, 1863. Battles fought: 17 Sep 1862 at Antietam, MD. 23 Sep 1862 at Fort Ethan Allen, VA. 27 Oct 1862 at Snicker's Gap, VA. 17 Nov 1862 at Warrenton, VA. 19 Nov 1862 at Falmouth, VA. 22 Nov 1862 at Loudon County, VA. 13 Dec 1862 at Fredericksburg, VA.

Dwight Davis , Private ,From Canterbury CT Enlisted with Captain Gibbons in Middletown CT Aug 6 1862 Dwights Reg was in 34 battles and skirmishs, including Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Mine Run,The Wilderness,Spotsylvania, and Cold Harbor.Co A and B had the Sharps rifles that could shoot three times faster than the muzzle loader.During the the Battle of The Wilderness ( May 5th 1864)Dwight was wounded in the knee and the lower right ribs and left in the field for 10 days!On Aug 27th 1964 he was back with the 14th . Mustered out with his company May 31 1865. He then returned to his wife(Martha)in Canterbury and took care of the family farm.According to a affidavit from his wife after the war Dwight suffered from 'episodes' of terrible head pain and would appear lost.(I would think this was from heat stroke,Dwight marched many miles and fought many battles in very hot weather ) Died April 1st 1889 in Canterbury Connecticut.

Hiland was living in Connecticut when the war broke out in 1861. Enlisted in the 14th Connecticut Infantry Co. F. August 11,1862 at seventeen years old Company F was largely formed by men from the Hartford area. Wounded at Antietam the 14th fought in the battles at Chancellorsville, Bristow Station, Mine Run, Gettysburg, Stony Mountain, Mortons Ford, Fredericksburg, Hatchers Run, The Wilderness, Petersburg.
