5th West Virginia Infantry

He married one of my relatives, Sorilda Jane Dilley, on 5 October 1865 in Lawrence County, OH. His dates of service in this unit as well as his company are not known by the family but he was wounded at Winchester, VA.

The 5th and 9th WV Infantry were disbanded to form the 1 WV Veteran Infantry.
