He was wounded in AR? and was left behind for medical treatment for several months... then he rejoined the unit in its war campaigns in AR/LA/TX.

Jesse Allen Clark was born in Reynolds, Missouri in 1840 to William Isom and Jane (Williams) Clark. He enlisted on May 14, 1862 in Company D, Flournoy's Regiment Texas Infantry, later to become the 16th Texas Infantry.

David served with his brother, Thomas Jefferson Henry. He was born in 1836 in Robertson County, Tennessee, and moved to Texas. In 1850, his family lived in Travis County, Texas.

Thomas served with his brother, David Nelson. The Henry family migrated from Robertson County, Tennessee, and in 1850 lived in Travis County, Texas.

JP Blessington, an Irish immigrant arriving in the U.S. in 1857, moved to Texas in 1860, and enlisted as a private in the volunteer infantry near the start of the war. He was wounded at the battle of Pleasant Hill(April 8, 1864) but remained active until the surrender of the Trans-Mississippi Department (May 26, 1865), having by the end of the war obtained the rank of corporal. He is best known for having published an informative book documenting the campaigns of the Texas Division known as 'Walker's Greyhounds' of which his regiment was a part. The books name is 'The Campaigns of Walker's Texas Division' and is available online as public domain.

Pvt. William H. Blydenburgh was born in Smithtown, Suffolk Co. Long Island, New York. His family moved to Chautauqua Co. N.Y. about 1840. William left New York and settled in Napoleon, Desha Co. Arkansas. He joined the Desha Co. Milita July 1861 which was the origin of the 16th. Regiment of Texas Infantry, under the command of Col. Geo. M. Fournoy. Feb 1862 he mustered in to the 16th. Texas under the command of Capt. Lyttleton Wilde Moore Co. 'I'. On May 24 1863 William was captured, by Ensign Turner C.O. Of the USS Curlew,for reporting movements of all Union gunboats & transports in the vicinity at the Mouth of the White River. He was a prisoner at the Military Prison at Fort Delaware, DE and released June 9 1865. Upon release from prison he settled in Red Fork, Desha Co. Arkansas. His brother Sgt. Charles E. Blydenburgh was a Union Soldier of the 112th. N.Y. Regiment of Infantry. (I would like to know William's burial location.)

Col. George Flournoy, LtCols. William H. Redwoood, James E. Shepard, Maj. Xenophon B. Saunders The regiment was formed in the summer of 1862 and included men from Belton, Austin and the counties of Washington and Upshur. It was assigned to Flournoy's, Waterhouse's, Scurry's brigade, Trans-Mississippi Department. In June 1863 it lost two killed and five wounded at Milliken's Bend. Three officers and 30 men were captured during the Red River campaign and it fought at Jenkins' Ferry. It moved to Hempstead, Texas and disbanded before the June 1865 surrender.
