109th New York Infantry

Looking for as much information on my relative as possible. Records said he died in a NY hospital but saw action down south. Need more information on his service record. Enlistment in on 12 Aug 1862 Mustered out on 14 Aug 1864 (died) at David's Island, NY Harbor

Enlisted as a Private on 11 August 1862 at the age of 25. Mustered in Company H, 109th Infantry Regiment New York on 12 August 1862. Appointed as wagoner. Killed on 12 May 1864 at Spotsylvania Court House, VA.

No family notes have been added.

Mustered in on July 13, 1863. Listed as wounded in the New York Times, May 14 1864, battle not indicated, perhaps the Wilderness. Discharged for disability March 14, 1865 near Petersburg, Virginia.
