According to family lore, was wounded at Tebbs Bend, KY on 4 July 1863. (Would like confirmation!) Was in the Civil War twice. Company A-25th Regiment of Michigan Infantry. Discharged 13th November 1863 in Kentucky. Then Company A-28th Infantry Volunteer, discharged 25th April 1866 in Detroit. I have a photo of James David Wicks in uniform with his brother, Chauncy on file obtained from relatives of mine. James D. Wicks enlisted at the age of 22, listing his home as 'Marshall' Michigan. James' wife was Mary Van Arman.

George C. Inman was born 23 May 1835 and died 20 May 1897. After the war he moved to Oswego, Illinois where he was a local builder and also served for many years at the town marshal.

It is said he died on the explosion of the Sultana, after being released from Andersonville Prison. Yet, his name doesn't appear on the Sultana dead list. His mother collected a Civil War Pension, however.

John W. McKie was the son of Alexander McKie and lived in Three Oaks, MI. He enlisted in Niles, MI.

Thomas Quigley was born in December, 1840 near Nenagh, County Tipperary, Ireland. He arrived in the US in late 1852 settling in Niles, Michigan. He served in company F of the 25th Michigan Infantry and died at the veterans military home in Milwaukee on December 20, 1879. He is buried at Wood National Cemetary, Milwaukee.

He was born in the Netherlands, 1844. In 1847 his family emigrated to the US and settled in Holland, Michigan. He joined the 25th along with many of his friends and neighbors from the area. He was once captured and ultimatley escaped (according to DoD official records) but no details are given. He died in 1902 and is buried in Holland, Michigan
