The following data is taken for his widows application for pension filed by Mrs. Maggie Chapman at Cheraw, Chesterfield County, South Carolina under the Widows act of 1919. Her pension was granted for her husbands service in Company A. Gordons in Haskell's Artillery Battn: He surrendered with his unit at Appomattox, Va. on 9 April, 1865. William died.26 Sept. 1903. William enlisted on 15 March 1862
