My greaTgrandfather, Henry W. Garvin, served in William B. Stout's Company, 8th Brigade infantry, Texas State Troops, along with his father Micajah M. Garvin and his brother Aquilla Garvin. Henry shortly joined the regular CSA army in the 27th Texas Cavalry.
