He lived out his life in Springfield, Missouri, where he was caretaker at the Civil War cemetery there for a time. I have a printed unit certificate for the 207th, company F, showing the roster at the time of formation.

The 207th, which was part of the 2nd Brigade, 3rd Division, 9th Corps of the Army of the Potomac was organized at Camp Curtin, Harrisburg, PA on 9/8/1864.
