based on age 50 in 1864, I believe John was born 6 Dec 1813 in Beaver county Pa, and was the son of Andrew Rambo & Katherine Kronk, Grandson of Wiliam Rambo & Mary Ann Tedrow

John Wesley McNeely - Private
Enlisted at Pittsburg, PA, on July 18, 1864, for 100 days. Mustered out Nov. 9, 1864. The 193rd guarded railroad bridges in and around Baltimore and Wilmington. In 1885 he moved to California; died in Redding, May 9, 1933. McNeely is my great-grandfather.

Samuel P. Bates records John McNeely as 'M'Nerly, John' in History of Pennsylvania Volunteers, 1861-5. (see 193rd Regiment, page 388). I have copies of his enlistment and pension papers.
