John BAIR enrolled 13 Nov 1862 at York, PA. Mustered in 14 Nov 1862 at same. He was 44 at enrollment, and a son, William also served. John died at Hamilton Hospital, Fortress Monroe, VA on 6 July 1863 of Typho-malarial fever. He is buried in the Hampton Cemetery in VA.
John was from Hanover, York County, PA, left a widow, Mary A Miller BAIR and sons, William, Lewis, Charles, Alexander, and John. He is my great-great-great grandfather.
