Jonathan Bennethum - Private   
After serving with his younger brother Levi in the three-month 14th Pennsylvania, Jonathan Bennethum, my GGG-granduncle, enlisted with another younger brother, George, in Co. D, 55th Pennsylvania. Jonathan and George were captured while serving in that regiment; they were sent to Andersonville, Georgia, where George died of scorbutus.

Levi S. Bennethum - Corporal   
Levi Bennethum, my GGG-Grandfather, enlisted in Co. E, 14th Pennsylvania along with his older brother Jonathan and many boys from Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania. Levi later enlisted with Co. D, 90th Pennsylvania, where he was promoted to Sergeant and saw action at Antietam, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, and Petersburg. He spent four months with the recruiting service in Philadelphia from January 1864 until May, returning to the regiment in June.

Resident of Lancaster, Pa. Apparently traveled to Reading to enlist on 24 April 1861, for 3m term of service. Mustered out with company on 25 October 1861. Husband of Sarah Jane (nee Mullen Gast). One of the Gasts who operated the Gast/Eagle Pottery works in Lancaster, PA. My great grandfather.

patrick rush is my gg-grandfather on my grandfather's mother side of the family.

he was mustered in july 17,1861 and mustered out on dec 19,1862 due to disability from the war. he died sometime before 1900.

if any one has any further information on patrick rush it would be greatly appreciated.
