Company H
Robert Sparks Ackland - Private
He was my great, great, great grandfather. He moved
to Hillsdale County, Michigan after the War. I think
he died in about 1888 or 1889 since the Nation Archives
has a pension application from his wife, Ann, dated at
that time. I would love to know the exact date of death,
the cause and where he is buried. His wifei and one of
his sons died in the early 1900s, which deaths are
recorded in the Hillsdale County records.
