Patrick W. Maloney - Corporal   
Patrick enlisted on 27 August 1862 at Dunkirk, Chautauqua County, New York. He was wounded at Hatchers Run, Virginia, when a rifle ball passed through his right arm or shoulder. Mustered out as a corporal on 13 July 1865 at Rochester, New York. See Pension File Pension App. No. 258346 Cert. No. 553979, (Civil War). Patrick was born about 1839 in Ireland and he died 12 November 1902, in Custer City, McKean County, Pennsylvania, survived by his wife Mary A. Heatherinton Maloney. He was the son of William Maloney (born Ireland) and Johanna (Hannah) McCoy (born Ireland). Brother of Cornelius Maloney who also served in the 72 NY.
