This is my wife's great-great grandfather. He enlisted as William Henry in August, 1864 and was honorably discharged in Alexandria, Virginia on July 14, 1865. His service records say he was born in Kingston, Canada in 1824. Other records show he lived most of his life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland where he farmed and worked as a sailor. He died on August 10, 1895 in Baltimore and is buried in Loudon Park National Cemetery.
