Conrad Krueck was my great grandfather. He immigrated from Germany in 1851 at the age of 17. He enlisted at age 27 in the 13th Mo in St. Louis Mo. He was wounded at Shiloh and went blind in his right eye from an unknown cause at Vicksburgh. He was mustered out in 1864. He was denied a pension for his wounds and eye because the paperwork could not be found. He died 12 April 1908 in Kansas City, KS. The name in modern day is now spelled Kreeck.

Organized at Benton Barracks, Mo. as the 13th Missouri Infantry and mustered in November 5, 1861 for 3 months. Ordered to Cairo, Ill., January 26, 1862. Attached to 2nd Brigade, 2nd Division, District of West Tennessee and Army of the Tennessee, to July, 1862. Designation of Regiment changed to 22nd Ohio Infantry in July 1862. 2nd Brigade, 2nd Division, District of Corinth, Miss. Mustered out in 1864.

William Channon was originally enlisted in the 13th Missouri August 15 1861, in St. Joseph, MO was captured and paroled after the Battle of Lexington, MO September 1861.
He went into the 25th Missouri Infantry which was formed from some of the personnel of the 13th.
He was in Capt. C. A. Wade's Company and was listed as KIA April 6, 1862 at Shiloh.
