Henry L. ranked in and out as a Saddler. He was also in Co.K. Henry was born in Wilmington, Del. and is buried in Chattanooga National Cemetery He died 20 Sept. 1895.

He had a least two brothers who also served: Thomas Clark McCorkle, also in Co. G of this Regiment, and a Charles P. McCorkle of 13 N.Y. Heavy Artillery.

Thomas is brother to Henry L. from this same regiment. Thomas also served in Co. D. They also have at least one other brother who served, Charles P. McCorkle of 13 N.Y. Heavy Artillery.

They were all born in Willmington , Delaware to George and Mary Penny McCorkle, though later moved to Missouri and Illinois.

Thomas ranked in as Pvt., and out as Sadler Sergt. His military papers say he had his own horse.

Thomas died 11 Feb. 1890 in New York.
