146th Illinois Infantry

Following his disability discharge in May of 1864 from the 45th Illinois Infantry, Samuel Vanston enlisted in the 146th Illinois Infantry, Co., B on August 29, 1864.  He served for the remainder of the war with this unit and was mustered out on July 8, 1865.
