Samuel C. Iwig - Private   
Samuel served detached duty on the mortar boats opposite Vicksburg on the Mississippi River, and had to be relieved from duty afterwards due to concussion from the explosions. He died in 1931 and is buried in Topeka, Kansas.

Martin Mitchel - Private   
Martin Mitchell was born on 9 May 1819 in Illogan, Cornwall, England. He immigrated to the US. He initially was a miner in Pennsylvania before he moved to Peoria, Illinois. He was mustered into the 108th Illinois on August 28th, 1862. He died on April 14, 1863, at Van Buren General Hospital, Young's Point, LA. The whereabouts of his grave have not yet been determined. His widow, Elizabeth Mary Patton Mitchel, received a widow's pension. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Mitchell-21517 for his genealogy.

Thomas Pounds - Private   
Joined Company H at Bath, Mason County, 28 August 1862. He had a friend in the same unit, Corporal John Moore.

Later in the war Thomas Pounds was with Company C of the 87th Enrolled Missouri Militia. He died sometime between 1907 and 1910. Date and place of death are unknown.
