George Washington Camper
- Private
George W Camper joined Company A 'The Blue Ridge Rifles' in December 1859. They in turn enlisted in the Confederate forces in May or June of 1861. G.W. Camper was orginally 1st Corporal then his enlistment ran out. He reenlisted as a Pvt and remained that pretty much the rest of the war. Unkwown how many battles he was in due to the fact he was an ambulance driver then a company cook. He is shown as surrendering at Appomattox which I have his parole somewhere around.

From what we've been told, Henry was KIA or WIA during Pickett's Charge. He either died on the 3rd or the 4th, and we're not sure if his body is buried there, or one of those reburied back in Virginia. His only son was born on July 4th...
