Was a resident of Neosho, Newton County (taken from McDonald County)Missouri, but according to his obituary, 'went to Texas to enlist under his old friend Thomas Harrison'. Also in 34th Texas Cavalry. Fought in Waller's under Tom Green. He is pictured in the group of Green's unit at the Confederate Reunion of 1902 (I think in Houston). Might be same W H Fleming or William Fleming etc. that is in Terry's 8th Texas who was wounded at Shiloh and discharged, but can't find documentation of that. Obit states he was also at Big Black River, Pleasant Hill,Yellow Bayou. Sounds like Red River Campaign? Can't find his service record. Any help much appreciated.

I have pension records from the 1890's to early 1900's on my direct descendant who served in the Second Texas Infantry. I have
no idea how long he served in this unit, but it was until the unit
disbanded in May of 1865. He is buried in our family cemetery in
Spring, Texas. The Daughters of the Confederacy has placed a marker at the grave site.
