Enlisted at Philadelphia May 5, 1861. Wounded at Gettysburg, July 1. After a few months at Turner Lane Hospital in Philadelphia he then was transferred to Washington into 6th Veteran Reserve Corp. Co. B. as corporal and acting sergeant. Mustered out of service at end of his time June 1, 1864.
Daniel Fischer was my great grandfather. His father served for the state of Pennsylvania at the same time.
