Discharged June 29, 1865, Campbell Hospital, DC.

G, 174 Ohio Infantry, National Archives, Washington DC: contains affidavit from Thomas McFarland, Sr. and Thomas Jr., of Guernsey Co. OH, postoffice Barnsville, Belmont Co., OH that they were acquainted with John about 2 years prior to his enlistment and 2 years after his return.

I found in some old records a discharge certificate for my grandfather, Daniel Montgomery Eddy where he mustered in on Sept 13, 1884 for one year and mustered out June 28, 1885, the name on the discharge was Daniel Eddy without the middle name. It says the certificate was issued Jan 4, 1918 as per provisions of the act of congress approved July 1902
